Italy, 2019

In the Spring of 2019, I had the opportunity to visit Italy with other Center Students. Travel has always been a passion of mine that I hope to have the privilege of continuing to do so in the future. I am an advocate for traveling, especially internationally, because it changes you as a person and makes you more understanding and empathetic. I believe everyone should take any chance to travel to the best of their ability.

The trip was a learning experience that opened my world view to broader perspectives. We explored Verona, Venice, Padova, Florence, Assisi, and Rome. Surprisingly, some of my favorite cities were the smaller ones, such as Padova and Assisi. In these cities, I felt more inclined to genuinely experience the culture of Italy. Of course, the larger cities such as Florence and Rome are stunning in and of themselves and deserve their own chapter of exploration. I will never forget our adventures and explorations and hope that everyone is able to experience traveling to another country at least once in their life.
